Aslesha Bali

Aslesha Bali is one ofthe poojas performed to please the snake God, Kartikeya. It was conducted in my  uncle's place sometimes ago. The main object of pooja here is the rangoli of NAGA or snake God.

The rangoli has really beautiful with vibrant colors.

Tese are te potoes taken during the different stages of pooja...

This weeks Photography challenge on Suzy's Sitcom is ....

And my post is.... this..

If you are wondering what are these, then let me tell you, these are Areca Nuts, straight form the Areca tree......

For us south Indians, especially South Karnataka people, these are not new...

We can see the Areca plantations everywhere....

These photoes were taken in my Uncle's house..

These were kept there for drying.........

I didnt have nuch time for editing...

So aam posting the photoes as they are...

Forgive me for the poor photo quality.

Also they had a function in the house and 

so they were using these areca nuts for decorating the front yard as you can see.

I forgot to take a photo after the decorations finshed... :(

Two colors

This week's challenge at Suzy's Photo challenge is 'Two Color' ...

I dont know if these qualify for the challenge ...but am playing along anyway.... :)

These were taken in a small resort in Noth Canara in India called "Banana County"...

I like birds and animals and as soon as I saw them , me and my daughter ran towards them ....but these two fellas ........ were Very Very RUDE....

They actually attacked us........

Later we came to know that these two fellows never allowed anyone near them and really are violent in nature.....:)

Silhouttes

I saw this photography challenge in Suzy's Blog Suzy's Artsy-Crafty Sitcom.....

So I searched for a photo related to the theme of this week .... and that is Silhoutte ....and I got this one...

Which I had taken in last May....

What a lovely thing................

Last week when I was strolling I found a butterfly pupa under a leaf .....
It had rained heavily that day it was looking soo good among the greenery and the freshness of the surrounding...

Usually what happens in our building is either the children are cutting the leaves and plants or the elders are chopping them off...
So I decieded that it is not at all safe to leave the pupa there...
So I cut the leaf and placed among my plants....

Look at the colour....So Golden and Hmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just after one day the butterfly came out of its cuccoon and flew away..........

By the time I brought the camera, the butterfly had already come out of the cucoon.........

And it flew away...............

Spider

This spider was trying to hide in my hubby's shirt............

Reptile

This fellow was lurking in our backyard yesterday afternoon......

At first he was very curious about us .... So I brought my camera....

But as soon as I brought my camera, he became camera shy suddenly and fled our backyard.... :(
